The Good: Heliconia is modern, quirky, and high-end. It is long-lasting and hardy and adds a great pop of texture and color in arrangements, especially tropical arrangements.
The Bad: The Hanging Heliconia can be difficult to use in smaller vases and bouquets. It is very heavy and hangs down from the stem. The stems are very thick and heavy and they should not be refrigerated or the blooms will brown.
Heliconia is considered a Luxury Volume Flower. Based on our design ratios, here’s our recommended quantity suggestion:
