The Good: Very unique texture, very hardy and long-lasting! Wonderful price-point and filler.
The Bad: It is a dried-feeling flower, so don’t let that alarm you….it feels a lot like tissue paper. Often the stems are not attractive and can turn dark, but that does not impact the buds. Be sure to remove the foliage and don’t be alarmed if the heads flop on the stems due to their weight.
- Give the stems a fresh cut, and place in cool water.
Statice can be a ‘Textural’ element or a ‘Volume’ flower. Based on our design suggestions here’s our recommended quantities:
- Bridal Bouquet: 1/3 bunch
- Maids: 1/4 bunch
- Bouts: Sprigs
- Corsages: Sprigs
- Centerpieces: 1/4 bunch
- Large Arrangements: 1-2 bunches
Flower Moxie reserves the right to make changes or substitutions. All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine. For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off-crop), incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a wedding function we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price-point.
Acceptable Subs: Wax flower, rice flower, baby’s breath, any other texture and volume flower that works within your specific color palette.
