The Good: Astrantia is a new favorite due to the texture and sweet daintiness! Very easy to work with in bouquets, bouts, and centerpieces. Unique look.
The Bad: Astrania is a bit delicate and can softly ‘droop’, which is normal. Does not like extreme temperatures. If it is too droopy for you, then sandwich it in between other blooms for support.
- Give the stems a fresh cut, and place in cool water.
- Remove leaves below waterline.
- Keep in cool location to extend vase-life. You can place it in a fridge to make it last longer.
Astrantia is considered a ‘Texture Flower’. Based on our design ratio suggestions here’s our quantity recommendations:
- Bridal Bouquet: 1/2 bunch
- Maids: 1/3 bunch
- Bouts: 1 sprig
- Corsages: several sprigs
- Centerpieces: 1/3 bunch
- Large Arrangements: N/A, too small
Flower Moxie reserves the right to make changes or substitutions. All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine. For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off-crop), incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a wedding function we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price-point.
Acceptable Subs: Another textured bloom that works within your specific color palette.
